How Applying for Preview at Arcadia Works
Want to experience Preview at Arcadia University? The process is a lot easier than you would believe. Preview at Arcadia is where you take a 2-credit course over your spring semester. Then, during spring break you travel Abroad for about a week to a certain location that your class is based on. A few weeks before applying for a Preview there will be the Study Abroad Fair. At the Study Abroad Fair, you’ll be able to learn and understand the variety of different places you can visit on Preview. This year these places include Costa Rica, Italy, Sicily, Greece, Paris, London, Scotland, Dublin, Bali, and Amsterdam. So, there’s a huge variety for all different students to choose from.
After the fair, it’ll be time for you to choose if you would like to participate in Preview and where you want to go. You’ll decide this in your first semester at Arcadia University. If you decide to participate, you’ll fill out an application that will ask for your top three destination choices and why you chose them. I strongly encourage filling out this form as soon as possible because it’s first come first serve and spots are very limited. After you submit your application and after a few weeks, you’ll get an email telling you which Preview course you were placed into or if you were waitlisted. I was waitlisted from all of my initial choices but a list was then given out based on which destinations were still available and I chose to go to Scotland!
I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to experience Preview in the spring. This is a great way to see if you would want to study abroad in the future and I encourage everyone who goes to Arcadia University to try to have this unique experience that this University offers.
