During this time, things are a bit overwhelming, and certain things may be triggers for anxiety. However, I have so many things that I feel grateful for. I am grateful to safely be back home in Florida. I am grateful to be able to move my body outside to do home workouts.
I am grateful to be here. My days now consist of being somewhat of a teacher to my siblings and keeping the day as structured as I can. The advice I give to everyone:
Try to carry on and make the most of the situation. I have ‘PE’ time with my sisters, where we go outside and do little exercises or walk around our quiet block. Move your body, hydrate, eat healthy, and feed your spirit during this time.
Also, shoutout to all the teachers and parents. Since being home, I’ve kind of had to step into both of these roles, and I give kudos to everyone who does this on a daily basis. It isn’t easy.
