Anna Greenberg, REAL Student; Caroline Leuschner ’20, Peer Mentor
Anna Greenberg: My favorite part of the REAL Certificate is being out in the world, among people, and saying, ‘Hey! Nice to see you!’ and getting to know people in the Arcadia community.
Caroline Leuschner ’20: Peer mentors get to hang out weekly with some of the students in the REAL Certificate program, and that’s what I do. I saw this opportunity at orientation as a freshman and immediately wanted to be a part of it. I’ve always had a passion for working with others. I was really nervous, but as soon as I met Anna, I found she was so funny, and we just immediately hit it off. We’ve been friends ever since.
Arcadia’s Raising Expectations for Academic Learning (REAL) Certificate is an academic, vocational, and social inclusion-focused program for students with disabilities, who participate in learning environments available to same-age peers.
