You do acknowledge the fact that you are alone, a lot. For example, my first night here. It was summer when I arrived. I was tired, because I hadn’t slept on my way here. And I had only sheets, right? I would be alright and I wouldn’t need anything just for that one night, because it was summer and I assumed it would be hot. But that night it was so cold because I just slept with the sheets and no blanket. And I realized that I was going to have to do this on my own. So, little by little, you start realizing you’re more on your own and you have to take care of yourself better and do things for you. And I like that.
As for the country, it’s nice. It has its ups and downs. Well, being here is…different. There is—well you know, there is no perfect country. There isn’t the same kind of discrimination you get back home.
