We are excited to bring you two workshops in May that will explore:

ABRI Curricular Infusion:

This workshop is sponsored by the ABRI Working Group on Curricular Infusion and will focus on incorporating Anti-Black Racism Initiatives infused with principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.) into the curriculum. 

There will be two parts to the session, each approximately one hour.

During the first part of the workshop, we will have a discussion about experiences encountered while incorporating Anti-Black Racism infused with the values of J.E.D.I. principles in the curriculum. We’ll consider the discomfort that accompanies this effort, including experiences of the ABRI Working Group, and how it helps us learn, process, and in many ways understand the larger challenges of racism. We would like to hear from participants about the roadblocks or resistance you are encountering as you undertake this work.

The second part of the workshop will include several options for breakout groups that participants can choose from. We are structuring this part of the workshop to allow in-depth discussion with people pursuing similar goals and encountering similar challenges and to provide practical tips and resources. Please consider in advance what your goals are for the fall semester so that you can discuss them in your breakout group.

What’s Next for All Modes?: Celebrating Spring Successes & Planning for a More F2F Fall

Join us for an All Modes conversation sponsored by CTLM.  We will celebrate Spring successes and some thinking about our upcoming transition to a more face-to-face fall. We will hear about current thinking/proposed university policies about fall teaching and learning as we transition to more face-to-face modalities.  Arcadia faculty who have been teaching F2F and remote students simultaneously will share a variety of strategies that have been useful in a few different classroom contexts. We will also be able to share summer plans for support from CTLM and DLS.  The hope is that everyone will leave this session with a better sense of what fall may look like, ideas to consider in preparing for this transition, and a sense of how workshops and other forms of support will be available in the summer months.
