Arcadia’s Applied Behavior Analysis Graduate Certificate Program Ranked Among Top 40 Nationwide
The online Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) graduate certificate program at Arcadia University has been ranked among the top 40 such programs nationwide by the Applied Behavior Analysis Programs Guide, an online resource whose mission is to provide high-quality information for those considering a degree in this field.
Offered through the School of Education, the ABA program develops the professional expertise and consultative skills necessary to support youth and adults with autism, conduct and oppositional defiant disorders, and depression.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an estimated one in 68 children now has an autism spectrum disorder. As the number of children diagnosed with ASDs has exploded, so has the interest in applied behavioral analysis, a therapeutic treatment approach that has been demonstrated to be effective in helping children with autism.
The Applied Behavior Analysis Programs Guide notes, “Graduate level ABA professionals are in demand by schools and social service organizations. Their services [also] are needed in private homes to help support families and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.”
