Margaret M. Callahan, Esq., was appointed General Counsel of Arcadia and Secretary of the University in November 2018. Previously, she served as Interim General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, and Associate General Counsel of the University from 2014.
Ms Callahan began her career at the law firm of Dilworth, Paxson, Kalish, & Kaufman in Philadelphia, PA where she focused on corporate law. She specialized in commercial and residential real estate transactions including acquisitions, sales, financing, leasing, and construction. She has represented purchasers and sellers, landlords and tenants, lenders and borrowers, property developers, and title insurance underwriters in various real estate matters.
Ms Callahan moved in-house to the Title Insurance Industry where she was Associate Counsel and Vice President of Chicago Title Insurance Company in Philadelphia, PA and later Associate Regional Counsel of First American Title Insurance Company in King of Prussia, PA where she specialized in underwriting, claims management, and compliance.
Ms Callahan received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Temple University, Magna Cum Laude and her Juris Doctor from Temple University Law School, Cum Laude.
