Biography
Allison (she/her) is a counseling intern who is in Gwynedd Mercy University's graduate counseling program with a concentration in clinical mental health. Allison received an M.Ed. in Human Development from Lehigh University and an MPH with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Temple University. Allison has worked in the public health field for the past 12 years, primarily as a research coordinator, but also in health prevention and promotion roles. From her previous work experiences, she has most enjoyed working with and mentoring undergraduate and medical students. She is looking forward to applying what she has learned about trauma, flourishing, and relational health to working directly with students. As an intern, Allison is eager to develop her skills while learning from the students from whom she works and looks forward to serving the diverse population at Arcadia, including first-generation college students. In her free time, Allison enjoys being outside, reading fiction, all things Heartstopper, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
