Graham Earns Spot on Philadelphia Inquirer/Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team
Sophomore Tim Graham of the Arcadia University men’s swimming team has been named to the 2013-14 Philadelphia Inquirer/Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team, which is selected by the sports information offices at the 28 NCAA Division I, II, and III institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. He is the first-ever men’s swimming selection at Arcadia.
A biology major with a 3.31 cumulative grade point average, Graham was crowned the 2014 Middle Atlantic Conference Champion in the 200 butterfly after turning in a first-place time of 1:55.84 at the conference championships. He is the first swimmer in program history to win that event at the MAC Championships.
In all, Graham had one First-Team (200 butterfly) and three Second-Team (100 Butterfly, 200 IM, 800 Freestyle Relay) All-Conference performances at the 2014 MAC Championships, giving him a school-record seven All-Conference performances through his first two seasons as a Knight. Graham was the first-ever First-Team All-Conference performer in any event as a freshman, placing second in the 200 butterfly.
Graham holds three individual school records (100 and 200 Butterfly, 200 IM) and is a member of five school-record setting relay teams (200, 400 and 800 Freestyle, 200 and 400 Medley). Each of those records was set this season.
Arcadia recorded a seventh-place finish at the 2014 MAC Championships with a program record 249 points while setting a total of 20 school records in 14 events at the championship meet.
Graham was one of three NCAA Division III selections to the academic all-area team along with Widener junior Vadim Belogorodsky and Rowan sophomore Tyler Coe.
