Students in the International M.B.A. program in Singapore will travel to the United States to visit companies in New York City and Philadelphia for an international business experience beginning Tuesday, Aug. 21.

The group of students will arrive in New York City to begin its four-day itinerary of business and cultural visits. Accompanied by Dr. Wayne Morra, Professor of Economics, students will meet with Darren L. Ofsink, Partner at Guzov Ofsink LLC, Attorneys at Law, to discuss business in the U.S. and entering the U.S. market, and with Charles Munzig of The Carlyle Group, a global asset management firm, for an overview of the U.S. financial market and investment environment. The students will finish their N.Y.C. business visits at NASDAQ, where they will learn about the stock exchange’s role in the international economy from Jay Heller, Managing Director of the Market Intelligence Desk.

After exploring New York City, the students will travel to Philadelphia, where they will meet Dr. NJ Delener, Founding Dean of the School of Global Business, and visit Liberty Property Trust, a real estate investment trust, to speak with Tony Ewing, Vice President of Leasing and Development. They will also meet with Robert Victor, Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Finance at Comcast, to learn how advances in technology have affected the communications industry.

Following the week’s business meetings, the students will participate in a tour of Philadelphia, including Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and sightseeing in Valley Forge. To conclude their stay in the U.S., students will visit Arcadia University on Friday, Aug. 24, for a breakfast reception in the Grey Towers Castle.
