Natalie Marshall ’16, an International Studies major at Arcadia, offers advice to fellow study abroad students in her Jan. 16 USA Today College piece, “5 Simple Ways to Improve Your Foreign Language Skills.” Marshall, who is studying abroad in Paris, writes about small changes in daily activities that help with vocabulary and understanding, such as switching language settings on devices.
Studying abroad is an exciting and challenging time in a student’s academic career, but those who travel to non-Anglophone countries usually face an added challenge — the language barrier.
