Arcadia University has received a special award in recognition of continued support by PaCIE, the Pennsylvania Council for International Education. The award was presented by PaCIE President Dr. Mohamed Latib during the opening session of PaCIE’s Annual Conference on Oct. 4 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Amanda Zimmerman, Senior Program Manager, and Carly Gordon, Enrollment Counselor at The College of Global Studies, Arcadia University, were delighted and honored to accept the award on behalf of The College.

Christina Good, PaCIE’s Executive Director, praised the commitment of Arcadia to international education. “Arcadia University in general—and The College of Global Studies in particular—has consistently championed PaCIE and global education in Pennsylvania. PaCIE’s Board of Directors was so pleased to recognize Arcadia’s continued support,” she said.

For many years Arcadia University has supported PaCIE by providing funding assistance to sponsor annual conferences and experienced presenters to contribute to debate and discussion at conferences. Arcadia is an active promoter of the value and importance of the on-going work of PaCIE.

PaCIE is a network of professionals interested in advancing international education in Pennsylvania. The organization provides a forum for educators, both K-12 and at the higher education level to share best practices, formulate advocacy goals and construct a dialogue with government agencies, businesses and non-profit organizations.
