The Masters of Rehabilitation Science is a fully online program which is housed within the College of Health Science. It is part of Arcadia University’s highly competitive Department of Physical Therapy which was ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the top 10% of Physical Therapy programs nationwide. The Masters of Rehabilitation Science program is a one-year intensive program (12-months). The core curriculum includes coursework in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, rehabilitation sciences, critical appraisal of evidence to support clinical practice, biostatistics, and advanced electives.
The breakdown between asynchronous and synchronous (remote live sessions with a faculty) is 75% asynchronous and 25% synchronous. However, we will also offer on-site synchronous research lab activity opportunities for interested students on a case-by-case basis.
This course series will integrate foundational basic science content across diverse areas of anatomy, histology, physiology, pathology, neuroscience, and epidemiology, in the context of rehabilitation science. These courses will address all body systems including the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and integumentary systems.
This course series will address clinical science aspects of rehabilitation with each courses focusing on different body systems. The courses will discuss aspects of clinical diagnosis, management, and prevention of disease conditions that impact the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and integumentary body systems.
This seminar course involves weekly presentations from Arcadia faculty as well as experts in the field of rehabilitation and movement science.
