The Class of 2023 has decided to dedicate our Senior Class Gift to CASAA (The Center for Antiracist Scholarship, Advocacy, and Action). CASAA is dedicated to fostering strong community partnerships, collaborations with other units on the Arcadia University campus, and relationships with organizations/institutions doing important work in antiracist scholarship, social justice, advocacy, and action.
When you give to CASAA you are supporting a fundamental part of the institution. Your thoughtful support is valued. It empowers you to excel beyond the borders of the classroom.
You may also make a gift to The Fund for Arcadia, Arcadia’s unrestricted fund, to be used strategically in the areas of greatest need, or any fund of your choice, including your athletic team or academic division.
The Center for Antiracist Scholarship, Advocacy, and Action (CASAA) at Arcadia University was established in November 2021 as an interdisciplinary academic center that brings together individuals from the University, community, and wider world to (re)shape the thinking and mindset about racism across the globe with the intent to not only combat racism but also promote racial justice and equity.
CASAA Goals
Shaped in part by the Combating Anti-Black Racism initiatives (CABR) at Arcadia University, the Center has three core goals that it aims to achieve in its efforts to become a leading advocate of antiracist thought and to act towards ensuring racial justice and equity. These goals include 1) pursuing research, 2) building community, and 3) providing resources.
The Arcadia Philanthropy Cord is worn by our generous graduating Knights at commencement who make a Senior Class Gift of $20.23 or more. The cord symbolizes entering a new chapter and joining other graduates of the last decade, who have demonstrated their dedication to philanthropy and support for our University.
When you make your class gift, you’ll earn an Arcadia Philanthropy Cord to wear at graduation, a symbol of your pride, gratitude, and support for a place that’s made a difference in your life - and your commitment to leaving your legacy for the students who will come after you. Gifts must be made by May 8th 2023, to ensure we can get them to you on time to wear to Commencement.
